Confession

Bless me father for though I'm a bishop
I have been less than perfect today.
For the third time in three years I had no real choice
But to send Father Craven away
To a parish where nobody knows him
And he's free to resume his fine deeds,
For the good that a man does must not be outweighed
By infrequent surrenders to basic male needs.
Yes a man must decide what he stands for,
Those core precepts by which he can live,
And I just can't give up on a man of the cloth
When compassion tells me to forgive.
Above all, above all, is protection
Of those that can't fend off the hits
So I staunchly defend the collection
Basket and all the good work it permits.
-Switch to higher key, different tune-
Oh, collections, money money money,
The basket you see is for giving,
Yes, for giving and for getting,
You forgive and I get, now that's living.
-Clear throat- Really, all this overreaction.
People have been looking at a glass half empty.
There's a lot to be thankful for. I mean we have to thank ...
Heaven for leetle boys
Their flutey voices join us in high chorus
Thank heaven for leetle boys. -French laugh-
Especially when they come and kneel before us.
So put a lid on all the noise
Let us savor and enjoy our little pearls.
For if they interfere and take away all our little boys
We will just have to learn to like girls.
We-hear-their-confessions
Yes so when they come and take away all our little boys
We've got leads on lots of fun little girls.
